The Iowa quarterback talks Lady Gaga, who’ll be performing at the Hawkeyes’ hotel. She is on Stanzi’s iPod. “I don’t discriminate.” On Georgia Tech, he said the Hawkeyes are learning what they might be doing in certain situations. On his ankle, “I’ve been back at practice . . . full go. That’s not a problem anymore.” Also, he talks about taking care of the football and what he went through with turnovers in his first season as the full-time starter. — Marc Morehouse/Gazette

Recipes for Citrus Glazed Chicken and Sausage and Pear Stuffing

Here is a quick, healthy recipe for chicken breasts that is sure to become a family favorite.  You’ll love it because it is quick, easy, healthy, and economical.  The citrus glaze gives the chicken breasts just a little extra twist.   For a different side dish, try the sausage, pear stuffing.  Made with whole-wheat bread and a pear, it is sure to become one of your favorite stuffing recipes.  Add a salad and you have a quick, hearty meal for your family.  Make this one of those sit-down family dinners that I always recommend.

University of Alabama Offensive Guard: 1970-72 Orange Bowl Appearance (1): 1972 One of the greatest linemen in football history, John Hannah was a two-time All-American under legendary coach Paul Bear Bryant at the University of Alabama from 1970-1972. Hannahs number two ranked Crimson Tide fell to number one ranked Nebraska for the National Championship in the 1972 Orange Bowl. While at Alabama, Hannah was a pivotal member of an SEC Championship winning team, and later was named to the University of Alabamas All-Decade team of the 70s and the schools All-Century Team. Following his collegiate career Hannah was the first round pick of the New England Patriots and the fourth player selected in the 1973 National Football League Draft. He played his entire12-year professional career with the Patriots, being named All-AFC and All-Pro 10 times each, and was selected to play in 9 Pro Bowls. In the final season of his professional career, he was part of an AFC Championship team and played in Super Bowl XX. He won the NFL Players Associations Offensive Lineman of the Year award four straight years from 1978 through 1981 and was also named to the NFL All-Decade Team twice (1970, 1980). Hannah was also selected to the NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team, being named the No. 1 guard on the team. He was inducted into the National Football Foundation College Football Hall of Fame in 1999 and in 1991 he became the first New England Patriot player, coach or administrator to be inducted

Ten Ways to Build Your Brand

Of the multitude of books you see on branding, most have a huge problem – they are written by people with multi-million dollar budgets. People who think nothing of wasting 2.5 million on a 30 second TV spot during the Super Bowl (this year’s cost!) that no one remembers the next day!

At my golf marketing seminars, I don’t talk a lot about branding, because it’s just NOT as high on the food chain as most ad agencies or designers would have you believe. Most people I deal with are FAR more concerned with actually making money than building a brand. Having said that, the concept of branding should not be ignored, and if you follow a few simple rules, your brand can be quickly enhanced without the billion dollar budgets.

Consistent use of name. Before I start branding any name, I’d ask myself, “is it really a good name. Is it unique?” You can change; I changed my company’s name twice before getting it right with Legendary

Blade Runner

Plot

Note: There are several versions of Blade Runner.

In Los Angeles, November 2019, Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) a retired police officer, is arrested at a noodle bar by officer Gaff (Edward James Olmos). His former supervisor, Bryant (M. Emmet Walsh), tells him that several “replicants”, biologically engineered humanoids that serve as soldiers and slaves in colonies on other planets, have escaped and come to Earth illegally. As a “blade runner” while active, Deckard’s job was to track down replicants on Earth and “retire” them.

Bryant shows him a video of another blade runner (Morgan Paull), administering a Voight-Kampff test, which distinguishes humans from replicants based on their empathic response to questions. The subject of the test, Leon (Brion James), shoots the tester when it is likely he will be exposed as a replicant.

Deckard agrees to track down Leon and three other replicantsoy Batty (Rutger Hauer), Zhora (Joanna Cassidy) and Pris

Super Bowl X was an American football game played on January 18, 1976 at the Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida to decide the National Football League (NFL) champion following the 1975 regular season. Super Bowl X was one of the classic matchups in Super Bowl history. Chuck Noll’s Pittsburgh Steelers were back again, this time against Tom Landry’s Dallas Cowboys. The game featured two of the games greatest quarterbacks in Terry Bradshaw and Roger Staubach, and two of the best defenses in the league. The American Football Conference (AFC) champion Pittsburgh Steelers (122) defeated the National Football Conference (NFC) champion Dallas Cowboys (104), 2117. This game featured a contrast of styles between the Steelers and the Cowboys, which were, at the time, the two most popular teams in the league. CBS televised the game in the United States with play-by-play announcer Pat Summerall (calling his first Super Bowl in that role) and color commentator Tom Brookshier. Towards the end of the game, Hank Stram took over for Brookshier, who had left the booth to head down to the locker room area to conduct the postgame interviews with the winning team. The overall theme of the Super Bowl entertainment was to celebrate the United States Bicentennial. Each Dallas and Pittsburgh player wore a special patch with the Bicentennial Logo on their jerseys. The Pittsburgh Steelers had won Super Bowl X, 21-17.

Sec championship game 2009

Sec Championship game 2009

As you know there has been a big hype about the Florida vs Alabama game, people from all over the state will be watching in bars , at home , where ever there is a television that is available.

Sec Championship game 2009

In addition An Alabama-Florida rematch in the BCS title game would leave the Sugar Bowl without an SEC team for the first time since 1999,  when Florida State and Virginia Tech met in the BCS championship game. Only two teams from one conference can be in a BCS bowl,  thus eliminating No. 13 LSU.

The Sugar Bowl would still have the first choice among available teams,  which Hoolahan indicated would be Texas. But even though the Sugar Bowl would be losing,  in essence,  two teams,  the Orange and Fiesta bowls would get the next two picks of at-large teams.

That would still probably be the Big East champion.

TCU in the title game would probably put the Big East winner in

College Football Week 9 – Oregon, Texas & Iowa Notch Critical Wins in the National Ttile Chase

Oregon, Texas and Iowa won huge, critical victories to remain in contention for the National Championship Game during college football’s 9th week of play.

None of the three victories was more impressive or substantial than 10th-ranked Oregon’s convincing, ultimately dominating 47-20 upset win at home over 4th-ranked Southern California. Oregon was a 3-point underdog in the game.

The USC Trojans had won at least 11 games a season and had 7 consecutive BSC bowl-game appearances for 7 straight years; now the streak has been broken as there is no way Southern Cal can win 11 games this season. With another loss, USC’s 8th straight BCS bowl-game streak would also be in jeopardy.

The win pushed the Ducks to 7-1 and dropped the Trojans to 6-2 and, perhaps more important, left Oregon on top of the Pac 10 Conference race with an unbeaten 5-0 mark and pushed USC into a 3-way tie for 4th place at 3-2. The Trojan loss was its
